BMAA waters can only be fished if you hold a BMAA licence. BMAA will consider an application for a license from anybody, but preference is given to those who live in or near to the Burton on trent area.

All club waters are bailifed daily and poachers will be prosecuted.

Subscriptions

New Senior and OAP members are required to pay a Joining Fee of £35. Where a membership lapses by non payment of a subscription by 31st May, it may be reinstated upon payment of the subscription and a rejoining fee of £10, provided this is requested before 31st December in the year that it lapses. Note new subscriptions for 2007-8.

Subscriptions are required each season during May. If renewing by post, a large Stamped Addressed Envelope (C5 - 6¼”x 9” or larger) and an appropriate "LARGE" stamp is required together with your fishing permit and remittance. Please send to the Secretary. Paying-in nights are each Wednesday in May from 7.30 to 9.30 at the Anglers Social Club.

All cheques should be made payable to B.M.A.A. Please put your card number on the back opf the cheque.

Please note that if any cheques are returned, the Association incurs charges. We will therefore charge you £10 if your cheque is not honoured by your bank.

Juniors are defined as persons of age up to and including 16 as at 31st May.

O.A.P. members are those eligible for State Retirement Pension before the start of the subscription year. The first time you claim this membership, please bring proof of pension entitlement.

Intermediate members are between 17 and 21 as at 31st May, (23 if in full time education). Junior and Intermediate membership can be obtained or renewed by post to the Secretary, or at any of the paying in nights for senior members. Initial information required:, date of birth, name, address and a passport sized photograph. If between 21 and 23, proof of being in full time education is required. NOTE that anglers 12 yrs and over must purchase an E.A. Rod licence.

All members (except Juniors) may purchase a day ticket to take a Guest with them when visiting any of our waters. Guest Tickets cost £7.50 each and are valid from dawn until dusk. Restrictions to availability may apply. e.g. at Branston Water Park. Night permits (£30) are required to night fish at Branston. See Branston Page for conditions/restrictions and how to apply.

Special permits have to be obtained to fish Branston Water Park at night. These permits cost £30, and are available to the 100 longest serving members (minimum 1 years membership required) who apply before 16th June each year. (See the Branston section later in the booklet for details.) When fishing at night, you must have the permit with you. The permit is not transferable.
