River Trent - Willington/Twyford

This water has been taken on a one year trial basis. Your feedback is essential. We do not intend to put up any signs during the trial, unless temporary signs become necessary.

The committee has decided to allow matches on these waters, without them being on the match list, to assist with the evaluation.

There is NO official parking

Access:-

Willington/Twyford Bank

1. Opposite the cooling towers of the power station.
2. Opposite Frizzams lane (signposted Stenson). NB there is hard standing on the wide grass verge which has been used for many years.
3. Use the lane to Twyford village. Access is along the footpath going west over the stream. NO fishing in the village.
4. Near Poplars Farm

Repton/Milton Bank

1. Down Meadow Lane past the disused Water Works. (Off road from Milton To Foremark)
2. From the Repton roundabout, take the Milton Road. Turn left (effectively straight on) to the cemetery. Turn left into Monsom Lane. Follow the road until you reach double power lines crossing road. Go left over the bridge crossing the brook, then go right, following the brook to the river and the old Trent.
3. Three isolated stretches upstream of the main Willington/Repton bridge. After finding somewhere to park, follow the footpath as per the map.

We hope you will try these waters. Please let the Secretary know how you get on, preferably in writing or via the web site.

We need to have all comments, both good and bad and from the different seasons of the year, so we can decide whether to take the water more permanently.
