Notes on current rule changes:

  1. 15m spacing (where possible) between other anglers when fishing on all venues.
  2. No sharing of fishing tackle or other items.
  3. Bring and use hand sanitiser (to be used after touching gates, locks etc) – or use disposable gloves.
  4. No toilets are available on any of our fisheries
  5. Keepnets are now allowed to be used – PLEASE be sensible, DO NOT retain spawning fish or keep fish in nets for long periods, if the weather is hot and sunny nets our guidance would be not to use keepnets anyway.

Oddstones, Predator and Coton restrictions

  1. Maximum five cars at top carp park (Coton) and fifteen cars at the bottom carpark (Oddstone).

We only lease most waters, we need approval from the water owners (they often needs Risk assessments, method statements etc)

Why no keepnets ? is this only during covid restictions or is this a permanent rule change.

I seem to remember that the Old Dove used to have restrictions on it as to what times of year you could fish due to it being an SSSI. Are these still in place, and if so what dates are we not allowed on there? Thanks.

    • admin 25th May 2020 at 9:40 am - Reply

No restrictions now – the old restrictions on where you could fish do not apply now.
