EA works on weir at Dovecliff – River Dove (updated September, 2021).
Please find attached a briefing note providing the latest August/September update on the removal of Dove Cliff weir.
In the last email correspondence and newsletter it had been indicated that the contractors would be off site by the end of August 2021. Unfortunately this has not been realised due to complications in managing the ingress of water into the isolated bypass channel by our contractor. It took a couple of weeks for them to come up with a viable solution, which has unfortunately pushed the completion date back by a similar timeframe. We apologise for the additional inconvenience this may cause.
I have attached above our latest newsletter for you and your members and the link to our Citizen Space page has also been updated at https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/west-midlands/removal-of-dove-cliff-weir.
Again if you have any questions or would like to discuss anything further please feel free to contact me directly.
